Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit djts-publishing.com or join our reader team, for what purpose and on what legal basis, and which rights you have. This website uses no cookies for visitors, no tracking and no analytics.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

DJTS Publishing
readers@djts-publishing.com

2. Visiting this website (server log files)

When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data to the server of our hosting provider, which stores it in log files: the page or file requested, date and time of the request, amount of data transferred and the status of the request, browser type and version, operating system, the previously visited page (referrer) and your IP address.

This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of this website. The data is not combined with other data sources and not used for marketing. The log files are deleted automatically after a short period.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The provider processes the data described in this policy only on our behalf and is bound by a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

4. No cookies, no tracking, no external content

This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no web analytics, no advertising networks or pixels, no social media plug-ins, no external fonts and no other content from third parties. When you open a page, your browser therefore connects only to this website. Technically necessary cookies are set only when an editor logs in to the administration area of the website.

5. Short links with click counting

For links in social media, on QR codes and in emails we use our own short links (djts-publishing.com/go/…), which forward you directly to the book’s page on Amazon. Short links in our social media profiles lead to the matching page of this website instead. We only count how often each short link was used per book or collection, channel (for example Instagram or QR code) and month. If you arrive through a profile link, the channel appears in the page address (for example ?k=ig) and is passed on to the shop links of this website, so that these clicks are counted for the same channel; nothing is stored on your device for this. For this count we store no IP address, no browser or device details and set no cookies, so the count does not show who used a link. The server log files described in section 2 are created as for any page request.

6. Reader team (email list)

Data. If you sign up on our reader team page, we process your email address and, if you provide them, your first name, your favorite genres and the Amazon marketplace where you shop. We also record how you reached the sign-up (for example a QR code in a book or our Instagram account), when you signed up and when you confirmed your sign-up, and the wording and version of the consent text you agreed to. We do not store your IP address or browser details with your sign-up.

Purpose and legal basis. We use this data only to email you about free advance copies, bonus material for books you have bought, new releases and offers from DJTS Publishing, to send you advance copies and bonus material, and to ask you for a voluntary review. A review is never a condition for an advance copy or for bonus material. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Providing your data is voluntary; without an email address, however, we cannot send you advance copies.

Double opt-in. After you submit the form, we send you an email with a confirmation link that is valid for 7 days. Only when you click this link are you added to the list. We record the time of your sign-up, the time of your confirmation and the version of the consent text as proof of your consent. Sign-ups that are not confirmed are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Email service provider. After you confirm, our website transfers your data over an encrypted connection to our email service provider MailerLite (UAB “MailerLite”, Vilnius, Lithuania, EU). MailerLite stores the list and sends our emails on our behalf; we have concluded a data processing agreement with MailerLite (Art. 28 GDPR). This server-to-server transfer is the only connection our website makes to another service. After a successful transfer, our website keeps only the record of your consent (email address, times of sign-up and confirmation, wording and version of the consent text, sign-up route). We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone else.

Storage period and unsubscribing. We keep your data until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent. Every email contains a link to unsubscribe; you can also simply email us at readers@djts-publishing.com. Our website checks daily whether you have unsubscribed and then also deletes its record of your consent.

6a. Readers’ clubs (extras for our books)

Data. A QR code in our books takes you to the readers’ club of that collection (for example Randy Ranterson), where you can sign up to download free extras for our books. For some collections, you can also sign up right on the collection page (for example One Move Wins). We process your email address, your first name if you provide it, the collection, how you reached the sign-up (for example the QR code of a particular book, or the collection page and the social network whose profile link brought you there), when you signed up and when you confirmed your sign-up, and the wording and version of the consent text you agreed to. We do not store your IP address or browser details with your sign-up.

Purpose and legal basis. We use this data only to give you access to the extras of that collection, to email you our reader letter (new extras, book tips, new releases and offers from DJTS Publishing), and to ask you for your opinion or a voluntary review. A review is never a condition for an extra. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Readers’ clubs are for people aged 16 and over.

How it works. As with the reader team (section 6), we first email you a confirmation link (double opt-in, valid for 7 days). Once you confirm, you see the extras shelf of the collection right away, and we email you the link to the shelf. The shelf is reached through a link with an access key; we set no cookies for it. The transfer to MailerLite, the storage period, unsubscribing and the daily unsubscribe check work as described in section 6; in MailerLite, you are added to the group of that collection. Readers’ clubs and the reader team are separate lists: joining a readers’ club does not make you a member of the reader team.

7. Contacting us by email

If you email us, we use your message and email address only to answer your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to a contract or its preparation, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in answering inquiries. We delete your message once it has been dealt with, unless we are legally required to keep it.

8. Links to Amazon and other websites

Our book pages link to retailers such as Amazon. These are plain links: no content from these websites is embedded in our pages, and no data is sent to them when you visit our website. Only when you click a link do you go to the other website, whose operator is solely responsible for its own data processing.

9. Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption, which you can recognize by the address starting with https:// and the lock symbol in your browser.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), the right to rectification (Art. 16), the right to erasure (Art. 17), the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18), the right to data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, a short email to readers@djts-publishing.com is enough.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).

11. Children

This website and our reader team are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe that a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our website or the legal situation changes. The version published on this page applies.
